Back up your local data
Find your save folder, make an independent copy, and understand the restore path for current profiles.
Steps
Follow in order.

Open Settings → Data & recovery to find the active save folder; current profiles do not use a recovery key.

Close the app before copying the entire User Data folder to an independent backup location.

To restore, choose a validated independent folder copy in Data & recovery, then close and restart the app after success.

Protect the backup as local plaintext under your OS account. Older encrypted profiles have a separate legacy recovery path.
